  • The Folk Project Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Abby Posner with Bob Andrews

We introduced you to Abby Posner as the opener for Jeff Daniels April 11th because we believed that once you got a small taste, you’ll want the full Abby: two feature-length sets May 2nd. She’s that good — a bundle of smart lyrics, winning stage presence, enormous talent, musical prowess on multiple instruments and joy.
Abby Posner is a “Genre Fluid” musical force in Los Angeles, captivating audiences with her unmatched versatility and soul-stirring performances. A virtuoso who can effortlessly switch between guitar, banjo, drums, mandolin, and bass, Abby’s live shows are a whirlwind of energy and passion, blending folk, roots, pop, and electronic sounds. Whether playing a bluesy guitar solo or a jaw-dropping banjo riff, her presence is magnetic. From TV shows like GLEE to films, commercials, and global radio hits, Abby’s talent knows no bounds. Her 2023 album Second Chances marks a new chapter, with the hit “Get Loud” charting internationally.

Bob Andrews is a storyteller with deep roots in working-class Americana. Raised in a small town between Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore, his musical journey began with his father’s love for Hank Williams tunes. His passion for music took off when his older brother brought home The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan album , inspiring Bob to pick up the guitar and banjo.
His dedication led to a recording deal with the Dancing Druid label, where he worked with Schooner Fair’s Tom Rowe at Apple Valley Studio to produce his acclaimed CD, Finns Point Light. The album received glowing reviews and national airplay, while Bob’s songwriting found an audience through artists like Boston’s Eric Behr and Wichita’s Aaron Fowler. Acclaimed songwriter Bob Franke praised him, saying, “Bob Andrews is one of the best songwriters to come through my workshops,” placing him among talents like David Wilcox and Kristina Olsen.
Whether performing solo or with the trio Two Smart Guys and Bob, Bob Andrews captivates audiences with soulful harmonies and compelling lyrics. Don’t miss the chance to experience his unforgettable live performance!
